We will be picking up litter, attacking overgrown weeds, and clearing gutters and drains before the rainy season comes. Make the neighborhood cleaner and protect the creek from litter gong down the drain.

Dear District 7 Residents,

We've heard from many residents who are frustrated with the lack of available parking in their neighborhoods, especially when vehicles remain parked in the same location for extended periods of time.

Councilmember Bien Doan is looking at ways the City can better address long-term vehicle parking and improve how current parking rules are enforced. Before moving forward with any potential policy changes, we want to hear directly from you.

We want to hear about what you are experiencing in your neighborhood, what concerns you have with the current process, and what you think could actually work.

Some of the questions we want your input on include:

• Are vehicles remaining parked on your street for weeks or months at a time?
• How is long-term vehicle parking affecting parking availability in your neighborhood?
• What challenges have you experienced when reporting these vehicles?
• What changes to the City's current policy or enforcement process do you think would help?
• What should the City consider as we look at potential new legislation?

Your feedback will help inform our office as we work with residents, City departments, and other stakeholders to explore possible changes to San José's current approach.

This is the largest annual native-plant-only sale of the year in our area. The event will feature plants from two nurseries, information from local environmental organizations and nature-inspired shopping. The event will be held at Hidden Villa in Los Altos Hills from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, October 24. Some plants will be available for purchase at the event, but for best selection, plan to purchase your plants online ahead of time and pick them up at the event.
